These terms are a legal agreement between you and DemocracyDNA ("we", "us") governing your use of democracydna.com.au and any reports we deliver. By using the site you accept these terms.
1. What DemocracyDNA is
DemocracyDNA is an educational tool that estimates how closely your stated values align with the published positions of Australian political parties. It is not political advice, voting advice, or an endorsement of any party or candidate.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the service and at least 18 years old to make a purchase.
3. The Complete DemocracyDNA report
The Complete DemocracyDNA report is a one-off digital product delivered to the email address you provide. Prices are in Australian dollars and shown before checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe.
4. Accuracy
Party positions change over time. We use publicly available policy sources and update them regularly, but the report reflects our best interpretation at the time it was generated and may contain errors or omissions. Use it as one input among many.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer the service, scrape it in bulk, misuse it to harass others, or use it to make automated purchase attempts. We may suspend access for misuse.
6. Intellectual property
The DemocracyDNA name, question bank, scoring engine, and report design are owned by us. You may share your own report privately but may not resell it or republish it commercially.
7. Refunds
Our refund policy is set out on the Refund Policy page and forms part of these terms.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, DemocracyDNA is provided "as is" and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the report. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The latest version will always be posted at this URL with an updated date.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
